ARE YOU THE VICTIM OF FIRE OR OTHER DISASTER?

The Selkirk Fire Department is very sorry about the damages to your property. In an effort to secure and protect your property from further damage, theft, vandalism or trespass we offer you the following vendor information to assist you in accomplishing the above mentioned goal. These vendors have agreed to respond promptly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  1. These Vendors will secure damaged areas of your property for security and safety purposes including boarding up open doors and windows and tarping roof and wall openings.
  2. These Vendors have agreed to perform emergency board-up services in accordance with industry standards.
  3. The Vendor will contact you so they can coordinate billing with your insurance company. The Vendor agrees that they will not bill any “uninsured” property owner. There should be no out-of-pocket expenses to the owner or Selkirk Fire.
  4. These Vendors are licensed and insured in the State of Idaho.

We cannot guarantee that conditions have not changed, but provide the information in an effort to assist you. Bonner County Building Location Permit Approvals

Bonner County Building Permit approval from Westside and Sagle Fire Districts.
The Fire Chief or designee will be available every Tuesday 10am-12pm and every Friday 9am-11am to review requests at 1123 Lake St Sandpoint, ID (Selkirk Fire Station #1)
No appointment is needed, however, the schedule is subject to change due to fire emergencies, holidays, or other events. The Friday after Thanksgiving as well as Christmas and New Year's Eve, the Fire Chief will not be offering these open sessions.

Burning Updates

*Campfires are now allowed within an approved fire structure*

*Burn permits are issued by Idaho Department of Lands for residents outside of the incorporated City of Sandpoint*

*Burn Permits are currently not being issued for the incorporated City of Sandpoint properties*

*Open burning begins October 20th, 2021*
